December 20, 2011

Hey,

This is a picture of my first district. Which is not actually my district any more. On my right is Elder Flemming and Elder Smith. Elder Flemming lives a block form us and Elder Smith is our ZL. Then on the other side of me is Elder Rodriguez who was our DL but now is a ZL elsewhere. Then his comp`Elder White who I knew in the MTC. Then Elder Henrie who was also a ZL but is now dead(Home) and a pilot. Then my comp and Elder Barker who is Elder Flemming comp and also Canadian. This week has been another long one. Hot and not much success. We had a great stake wide missionary meeting about missionary work with all the ward mission leaders and bishoprics. It was really good I have heard it is going to be a turning point for the stake which is good because they have been struggling the past few years. Like 2 or 3 years ago the Stake President and a couple Bishop's were excommunicated for some stuff and it really took a toll on the members and the work in the area. But most of our investigators have stopped progressing which is sad. So we have spent a lot of time finding with little success for the past two weeks. We got 81 contacts in two days, one which is about four days worth.  Yesterday we found someone who I think will get baptized. She was a great reference from a member who's son left on his mission the same time I did. She has a lot of faith and sound's like she is willing to do what is needed to gain a testimony.  I will let you know what happens. The heat here has taken a turn for the worst. You walk outside and it is like you stepped in fire. You know it is going to be hot when it is 85 at 8:30 in the morning inside. My comp just looked at the weather it is 102 right now at 5:30. Tomorrow it is 104 with 37 humidity and a UV index of 10, I don't know what that means but it says extreme. Anyway not much is new and things are hard but I am excited to talk to you on Sunday. Love you miss you.

Hey Everyone,

Things here are going good. This past week has flown by. I had my first reunión de zona on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun I got to see Elder Larson y Elder Pyeatt from artigas which was really cool, they are doing really well. President Heaton is so cool he came in as Santa and sat everyone of us on his lap and gave us some candy and a mission calender. Also each companionship got an iron which I have wanted ever since I got here, but when we got home we found out it didn´t have the right plug so we need to buy an adaptor. During the conference all of the new missionaries in the zones had to bear their testimony which was fun, then everyone leaving had too also. So my dad gave his since he leave the end of next change. We have zone conference every other change. The rest of the week has been good. Not a lot of lesson but more and more people coming to church each Sunday and I like to think I help at least a little bit in bring people back. This past Sunday we had to open the overflow, the first Sunday here there was like 7 rows of pues open. Or ward directory is huge. It has I think 600 members on it. About 100 are active which is really sad. The list is like 8 or 9 feet long. We are working with a few of them to bring them back but it is hard without a lot of help from the ward. We finally got conference addition of the liahon. I love reading the conference talks they are so good. I love this gospel and la oportunidad I have to share it. I love to see the effects it has on peoples life's the ones that keep the commandments are happier and blessed just like mosiah 2:41 says. I can´t wait to talk to you. You guys are really bad at answering questions, sorry I know you are busy.  You guys will be calling me on Christmas.  We can only talk for 45 minutes. I will send you more info next week.  Anyway love you all.

I have had a great week. It started of being super hot. On Tuesday it was 41 which I think is like 105 super hot and humid. Then on Tuesday night we had a massive thunder storm come through and it has been amazing the rest of the week. On Wednesday it was like 25. This week I did divisions with the Zone Leaders which was a lot of fun. After District meeting we switched. I went with Elder Smith to their area and Elder Henrie came to mine. Elder Henrie is super cool he goes home at the end of this change which is like the 18 I think. He is also a pilot. He started when he was 16 so he has pretty much everything except his CFII, he has a lot of great stories. Anyway I was with Elder Smith till Thursday morning. They share a house with 2 other elders one from Spain and the other from Argentina it was a lot of fun. We had a really good week though. We found 10 new people who we can hopefully start teaching. Working with the ZL has really taught me a lot and boosted my desire to work harder. A couple times in lessons Elder Smith would be teaching something and then just randomly say and Elder Wray would like to share a scripture with you. I had not been told before hand about this and I was like wait what. But it was good I taught about the joy of the atonement in Alma and then shared 3 nephi 3:7 in another. It does not feel like it should be Christmas though. It is hot! We went to ta-ta today and they had Christmas stuff everywhere which made me a little trunky. Thanksgiving was interesting I don´t know if I told you about it. We usually eat lunch with members or they give us a vianda to take home. Well on Thanksgivivng we got a vianda. It was two  one foot long hot dogs with mayonnaise mine also had four hairs on it but it was alright. Since it was such a sad meal we made a roast with the other 2 elders down the block from us which was good. I can't wait to talk to you guys in a few weeks it is going to be better then anything you could send.  Well that is all I have time to talk about Enjoy the new house I can´t wait to see pictures.

P.S. Mom you would be proud I have taken on the responsibility of being a person trainer every morning with Elder Bradshaw. It make me feel good when he tells me how sore he is. I just laugh and tell him wait till tomorrow. You should send me some ab-core workouts form P90X or what you do at the gym and some push up type things. Thanks!

November 28, 2011

This week has been another long one. We are really struggling to find new investigators. But we had a baptism this weekend which was really good. It was super stressful though. We showed up at 6ish and it was suppose to be at 7. Our baptism didn´t show until ten to and then another priesthood holder didn´t show until like 5 to. Then at about 5 after other people started showing up. It didn´t start till 730. My comp said that is Uruguayen standard time. This picture is form our balcony looking at Rio de Uruguay that town is Cortaba which is in Argentina. Last Tuesday during district meeting I got 5 letters which was a really nice surprise from Preston, Katherine, Sister Martin, Ben T, and  Anna.   Anyway back to this week before I have to go it has been really frustrating we are really struggling to find people we are suppose to have 20 contacts a day we average 5-15 but we never get let in which is hard because we walk so much in the heat and every one is just asleep because that is what they do here sleep form 2-4 or 5 then stay up way late and then sleep in. It is really hard. Members are so important. They are life3 savers when no one has talked to you for hours and you need to sit down and they give you cold water. They also give you people to teach. Tonight we have NDH with a family who got there friends to go to church and they seem really interested so hopefully we will have a family of 8 to teach after tonight. You guys should really read PMG pg.160 the importance of members they are just so important to the work. One last story about how we almost died before I go. We were knocking doors in this area like 35 minutes from home and we clap this house and this massive dog looks up. I can´´t remember what it is called it starts with a c but they are illegal in the states. They look like a leopard. We thought we were fine until this little yappy dog comes running out and then the big dog got up and runs at us. We held our ground but it came right up to Elder Bradshaw and sticks his nose right in his crotch and he thought he was going to die.The dog barked the whole time we talked to the guy and if we moved at all it would freak out and the owner was like 60 something and probably wouldn´t be able to save us if it attacked.  Then as we were leaving the dog starts barking and playfully chasing us. Thankfully we were saved by an old man with a slingshot who we then taught but anyway stray dogs are nice everyone else's dogs not so much. Anyway got to go. Love you miss you good luck these next few days.

Things here are pretty good. I am still learning Spanish. I can understand more and more each day and I think I am starting to recognize some of the irregularity's in verbs. Today we made a pretty good looking lunch. fideos con tuco con salsa blanca, It is a pasta. The past few days I have been kind of sick with a stuffed up nose which is kind of annoying. I am surprised it took so long. Alot of times when I get to a members house I am pretty sure they give me a used glass off the table but it is alright. This past Saturday I witnessed my first baptism it was originally one or our investigators but we had to give him to the other elders that share our ward. It was pretty cool. One of our investigators came which was pretty cool. Paola. She is getting baptized this Saturday. She is 11 years old we found her when contacting her uncle who was a menos activo. In our last lesson we taught about profetas y ayuno. We brought the primary president who helped alot. Her dad sat in on a lesson for the first time and we gave him a commitment to read the BOM with his daughter, so hopefully we can start teaching him. Other than that this week wasn´t very good. But we have found the problem and will fix it this week. We met with the Ward mission leader this week and he is so cool. He has a lot of good ideas and gave some very important background on the ward. I don´t think you realize how important members are in missionary work until you are a missionary they are so important in all aspects of what we do. Anyway I have to go. Good luck on the house. Oh I almost forgot I think I lost my Drives licence in Argentina so could you inform who ever you need to inform it is kind of a bummer but I will have to figure it out when I get home. Also I can put up with so many foods now. The other day I had and onion pizza. It was terrible but I got it down, anyway love you all.

November 14, 2011

Como están? Well I have survived a week here. It has been an adventure. I was suppose to have a baptism the day after I got here but it ran into a few snags and probably wont happen for a few years now. And we were suppose to baptize an 11 year old girl this Saturday but she didn´t come to church so that was moved which was disappointing. It has been a long week but also short. I understand more and more about missionaries now. We met a few in the MTC serving in Argentina and they always looked like they had been through war. Their shoes were destroyed and clothes dirty and I always wondered why they didnt´ fix it. I know now there is no time or if there is there is no point you are just going to get dirty in ten minutes. Anyway our apartment is crazy. It is probably one of the nicest houses I have been in besides a few members but we have an ant problem, a spider problem and a couple nights ago we left our window open and we had a huge cockroach like the size of my thumb fly in. I killed it. All so I don´t know if I told you about our shower but it is like showering in the rain. Things here a good though I am having a lot of fun! Everyone is really pretty nice. We pretty much knock doors from 1 till like 4 or 5 then go to lessons. It is long and tiring and we don´t really find a lot of people. One day it rained here all day and when I say rain I mean poured. We ran to get lunch at a members house and all I used was an umbrella which was a good choice my pants were drenched in like 5 minutes and Elder Bradshaw's coat lasted about 10 minutes before he felt the rain through it. After we got back I used dads trench coat which worked well. The one good thing about the rain is that it is really cool. It is usually really hot and it isn´t even December or January yet. Some of the members say it gets to 50 some times which is crazy. Anyway things are good I understand more and more Spanish each day and can speak a little bit more each day. Amazingly I am never really scared to go into a lesson the people are all really understanding. Oh one more quick story. We had lunch with to old lady's. We get there and they pull out a small pizza and I thought it was going to be a good lunch. Well that was gone quick then she pulled out this salad out of the fridge. I was thinking how am I going to get that down. It had peas, lettuce, squash (which they put in everything) and a hole bunch of other stuff. Well it turned out to be alright but they always ask if you want more and every time I say a little bit. But I must not know enough Spanish because they always give me more then the first time and I have to find room. Anyway I have to go good luck on the house. I love you.

November 7, 2011

Well I have been here for about 3 days now and it is great! 100 times better then proselitismo. On Friday I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and jumped on a bus to the airport. We landed in Uruguay around 8 or 9. Oh yea I also had to fast because we were getting blood work done. After we landed the AP´s met us and then put us on a bus to the stake center next to the temple. We dropped off our bags and then went and got our blood tested and peed in a cup and had our teeth looked at before heading back to the temple then to Presidents house for lunch. After lunch we headed back to the Capilla to meet our companion. They had us line up and close our eyes then people came behind us and sang Called to serve then we turned around to meet our trainer. I have Elder Bradshaw form Cedar City Utah. He is about 5 5 and is a legend in the mission. I am going to be his last comp he leaves in February. He is a legend because he worked the Offices for 8 changes which is about 11 months which is ridiculous. After ward we threw my bags back on the bus and headed to bus station. Our area is in the city of Salto which is a 5 in a half hr bus ride from Montevideo. So we got on a bus and arrived at around 12:30. It was cool to see the country it had been so long. When we first got to Uruguay the city looked so clean and the houses were really nice but that was just that area of Montevideo. Our area is really close to Argentina it is right across the river which I can see form our porch. We live on the 4 floor of an apartment complex. It is apparently really nice but it is probably the worst living space I have ever lived in anyway. One thing were luckily have is an air conditioner which we can only use for a little before bed to save money. It is so hot here! It is only like 85 right now and I am dieing. The members say it gets up to 50 some times which is so crazy I think I will die. I don`t know how Ben is going to do it. One reason it was so hard probably was because it was fast Sunday so going without water has never been so hard. On Saturday we woke up and did our studies then went to a members house for lunch. It was way cool I will have to tell you there story later but we had some good food. After lunch we went to a new convert Fabrisio who is 17 and talk to him and his friend. And I taught my first lesson on POS. It was pretty hard but the people are really understanding. Then we visited a lot of other people a couple members. Sunday was church which was a fun but super hot. We had ward counsel at 8 then when to pick up Fabrisio up for church at nine he lived like half a mile away. He was asleep so we walked back. My Comp is playing the piano for the primary program so I got to listen to them which was fun. After each song some of the boys would come and sit next to me which made the teachers mad. Afterward we rushed home to finally break our fast and start weekly planing which ended at 6:30 then we headed back out and found an inactive on accident. She hasn´t gone to church in like 5 years but we taught her family. Then a man let us in who happened to be neighbors of the other missionaries in our ward. He said he has never met missionaries before so we taught him the first lesson and are going back on Tuesday. Anyway today is pday so it has been pretty chill. We went to Centro and ate lunch at a pizza joint which was good. We can spend about 100 pasos a day which is about 5 us dollars but we get 3000ish a month so it is not that bad. Anyway Pday is about to end and I have to get to work good luck with everything.

P.S. I get to wear a straw hat which is kind of cool I will have to send you a pic. I look dorky but it is nice. I am surprised I haven´t been burnt yet. Also try to send every ones weekly letters. Also thanks for writing yesterday.

November 3, 2011

This week has been an adventure.  Any glad to hear things are going good at home. Anyway the days have been all the same till Saturday. For Proselitismo we finally went to a new area. It was one of the nices areas I have seen here which was to bad I wanted to go some where poor but anyway our bus drive got lost and we thought we would let the Latinos take care of it because they know more Spanish. Little did we know they can´t read maps. So we were dropped of like two miles form our area. But we didn´t know that for like 30 minutes. Then I had to pay 2 pasos for a new map at a kiosko. After about an hour of walking we finally made it to our new area. We talked to a few people because we only had like an hour and a half instead of like 5. One lady we talked to for like 20 minutes and taught her the first lesson. She was catholic and right in the middle of the first vision, where it says and I saw to personages, she say Oh that's was just the Holy Ghost, which was kind of to bad but we committed her to read el folleto. After we talked to her we went back to the bus. When I got on Elder Simpson has a big smile on his face and he asked if I knew hermana Clark. He had seen her on the same street I was on only five minutes later which is to bad but she gave me a note which was cool. Then the one of the knew kids behind me was oh yea I forgot. When I was on the way here I met an elder in the Ontario Airport going to Brazil who said to say Hi. He and Elder Clark had the same flight to Dallas. It was way cool to get hellos from two of the Clarks in like 5 minutes. Anyway the rest of my week has been good listened to a great talk from Elder Holland, then found out Elder Christopherson is going to be here at the CCM in a week and a half which is to bad I miss him but I am ready to leave. I love the CCM but I am tired of sitting in a chair all day. Anyway I leave tomorrow morning at 5. I have to get up at 3 which stinks but oh well. Can´t wait to see what it is like. Anyway got to go good luck love you.

Elder Wray

October 27, 2011

¿Como le va? This week has been pretty good. Everday kind of blends in with the rest so hopfully I don't repeat anything. Two days ago we found out that we will be leaving the CCM 4 days earlier then we should be. So I will now be leaving of the 4 of November which is really exciting and scary at the same time. It is so soon, in like a week. I am ready to get away from sitting in the same room day after day. But I know I don't know nearly enough spanish. It makes me wish I had spent my meal time studying more. Glad to hear Ben made it to brazil. Last week for proselitismo was probably our best ever. We talked to alot of people and got our first reference which was kind of cool. We were walking down the street when a man stoped us to tell us not to trip over his hose. We didn{t understand what he was saying so he came over and talked to use. We taught him about the Evangelio de Jesucristo and then a little about the word of wisdom because he said he was worried about drugs in Buenos Aires. It was a really good day. I really enjoy being the mailman here. I think I kind of know what it is like to be Santa Claus now. People flock to us on P-day. One of our new roommates is from Mexico and he looks exactly like Hayden it is amazing I will have to send you a picture in a few weeks. Good luck on the house. Sorry this week was so short, but dads pictures were big. I love you! Hang in there Mom, next thursday will probably be short to because I have to pack because I leave the next morning early.

October 20, 2011

"Josh sent us some pcitures that I'm trying to figure out how to put on here."

This week has been so much better then the last. District Moroni is now the oldest district in the CCM. I got your package today it was so nice I loved the girls letters. Mom you need to stop crying when you read my letters at home Elizabeth thinks it is funny. My comp and I are now in charge of the mail so I will know now if I get mail, then having to wait till to day to open it. Also could you post on my FB wall to stop sending letter to here since I will be leaving soon. It takes along time for them to forward them. This week I jamned my finger playing football and got a huge concrete burn on my elbow from basketball but other then that I am alright. Oh yea haha in other news I used a bidet for the first time a few days ago. It was interesting but I wish I hadn´t waited so long. For proselitismo this week we went back to the same area yet again but it was pretty good. We talked to a lot of people. The very first guy I saw I said hey how is it going we are missionaries then totally butchered the name of the church luckly he was very understanting and talked to us for a while. We also talked to this older woman who was a great example of a member missionary I have seen in a while. We talked to her for 45 minutes about our church and she told us about hers she read us some things out of the bible then took one block over to a friends house to get a folleto and then offered us food. Before we left she read us the last two verses in Matthew which was really kind of cool. Other then that it has been a really good week. I am going to miss the older district though they were so cool. Anyway I have to go good luck on the house thanks for the package. ¡Que tenga un buen día!

October 13, 2011

Thanks for the letter. This past week has been a rough one. I think on Monday it hit me for the first time that I wont be coming home for the next two years, I miss you guys a lot. Spanish has gotten a lot harder, we are learning things that I barely know about in English. Each lesson I teach more and more which is good but it is still hard. I am excited that you guys are moving in soon. It is hard to believe I have already been out over a month. It is funny it is fall there because all the trees here are just starting to bud. I am learning so much here I love the teachers. I got my first letter today I don´t know who it is from yet I just know it is sitting there. Prosolotismo this week was interesting. We switched areas and on Friday we learned where we were going. When are roommate from here found out where we were going he got this scared look on his face and made a gun with his figure. It was some where south. When Saturday came we were delayed an hour because the manager of the mtc had bad feelings about the area. So we got sent back to the same rich area as last time. It was a little slow because we got there late. I will just share one quick story. We stopped an old lady on the street. We talked to her about how God loves her then asked her if she had a family. Everyone always says yea, but this lady looked at us for a second and then said no they are all dead. We were a little surprised but thankfully Elder Crawford is a quick thinker and began to share the plan of salvation then we gave her a folleto about it and committed her to read it. It was a really cool experience. I just met with a senator from Idaho and he said he might give you guys a call.  I have really missed home this week. It is hard having to be with someone 24/7. This past week I have really wanted to go backpacking. A friend here climbed mount Kilimanjaro a couple years ago he said it wasn´t that bad. He said climbing Mount Whitney in California was harder. Well that's about all the time I have, talk to you guys next Thursday.  I believe I leave here on the 8 of November. It is crazy how fast the time flies. Any way love you, miss you. Que tenga un buen semana.
Love,
Elder Wray

The weeks are going by so fast. I had my first CCM haircut about 20 minutes ago. I was in the chair for maybe 2 minutes but it looks pretty good. Next week I will try and send some pictures. I am finally starting to get the hang of spanish. At least the basics. I can know go into a lession and not have to have lines memorized and I am able to talk to my new roommates alot more. One is from mexico in a city near mexico city. Our other one is form here I think and is like a pro basketball player he is like 6 6. Conference was really good. It was wierd to watch the first session at 1 in the afternoon. Because of conference we didn´t do proselitismo which was a nice break. We get a new area on Saturday so I will let you know how it is. Have almost finished a letter to everybody so it will be in the mail by tomorrow. This place is really amazing I don´t know if I would have like the Provo mtc as much. I have the coolest teachers every. Everynight the guys in my district usually have something called story time. After the teacher leaves before we go to are rooms it isn´t really on the schedule but all the americans usually do it. Usually the topic is something like first date or kiss or scariest moment of your life but two nights ago we did most spiritual experince of our life. It was one of the most amazing testimony meeting of my life. I am so glad I have the opportunity to be here, it is so much fun. I don't know what makes it so much fun, it is just alot of class and studying with a couple pranks along the way but I am almost always smiling.

September 29, 2011

Proselitismo this week went so much better, we got off the bus and went to sit on a bench to eat our lunch in this plasa filled with people. Just before we got to the bench a man yelled La Biblia Santo, we turned around and talked to him for a couple minutes and gave him a book of Mormon it was pretty sweet.  Later that day we talked to a women who was really nice and we gave here a folleto then she said something we didn´t understand and pointed at what we thought was her house. we started to walk in and I was so scared. We had nothing planed. When we got inside it was actually a church and she gave us a folleto about her church, which was like an Asian monk church. But she was really interested and said she was going to check out the stake center on Sunday. The rest of Saturday was slow because it is ciaste. We got a cita from the week previous from some latino elders. They said he wanted to learn more but couldn´t teach him because he lived in our area. So we were stressing like the whole week about teaching a real lesson. When we went down his street we found out his house didn´t exist, which was to bad.
Today we are no longer the new guys the latinos and the oldest Americans left Tuesday which was kind of sad but our district and the group above us had the CCM to ourselves and the food got tons better.  There where only 14 of us down from like 65.  Today we got new missionary's only 4 elders and 2 sisters from the states and litino couple and like 14 latino elders.  Last night Presidente George and hermana George brought us down to the kitchen for a treat of ice cream and root beer floats since it was only Americans.

September 22, 2011

Things here are going well. I felt like Spanish was going well until Saturday. All the missionary from the CCM went out on the streets to proselyte. My companion and I were given a 24 block section to work. now remember i am doing this on only like 10 days worth of Spanish. This is also the first time i had seen any of Buenos Aries. First impression super dirty. there is garbage everywhere. also stray dogs that poop where ever they want. but i was told that it was like one of the nicest places in town. we are like 10 blocks from were the presidents house is. So anyway the houses all looked really nice but they were all fenced in with bars on the windows. we didn´t knock or buzzer any doors because we didn´t think we could give a good lesson if they let us in. so we just did street contacts. It was super frustrating. We started at 1:00 and the first three people i tried to stop and talk to didn´t even look at me and kept walking. but as the day progressed things got a little better. We gave out a few folletos and taught a few principles. We will work that area for the next two Saturdays. Next week we have a lesson to teach with a guy which is super scary, because this is not a role play any more it is for really. After our lesson we will probably knock some doors. before we head back to the bus we are aloud to go get some food. so my comp and i went the this huge street on the very edge of our area and bought some alfajores which are kind of like wagon wheel grandma would bring but there is more then one type and are usually filled with doce de leche. The older missionary's said that this area was super hard to teach in because the people are so rich and feel like they don´t need alot. they said the last area they were in was dirt poor but everyone was nice and stopped to listen. But the down side was safety. They said people would look at you and put there finger by their eye which means i am watching you or get out of here. Others would make guns with there fingers and shake there head. But you don´t need to worry no one that i know of has ever been robbed or hurt.

September 15, 2011

I don´'t have alot of time but here it goes. Things are so crazy down here. The day I got here an elder said "Days feel like weeks and weeks feel like hours". So far this has proven to be true, every day feel like two days, but they all kind of mess into one. I go to bed completely exhausted, but it feels super good. You don't have to worry about me starving, the food here is so amazing. It is lots of steak and pot roast and potatoes. Plus at every meal I get bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar. only the breakfast are not that great. It is always Argentinian cereal which is like cardboard, then sometimes we get some really good homemade rolls or donuts. The reason the food is so good is because there are two chefs that make everything so it is not like cafeteria food. A little about the CCM(MTC) there are currently 27 Americans plus 2 that are already fluent in Spanish so they are with the remaining 30 to 40 Latinos. The Latinos are so amazing. I can't wait till I know more Spanish so I can talk to them. they are so loving and friendly. Btw sorry about the spelling the computer is in espanol and some of the keys are different (ñ).

My teachers are so cool. One just got home from Chile a month ago and our hermana got back like 4 months ago form the Salt Lake temple mission.

Spanish is such a pain. French is turning out to be a blessing as well as a burden. It has taught me to conjugate verbs but I pronounce everything in a french accent and just sound dumb. I said my first pray in Spanish on Sunday I think, it was supper short but the feeling of the Spirit was amazing. On Monday we met with an investigator and had to teach him only in Spanish. It was so hard I didn't really say much. Thankfully my compeñero knows more Spanish then I do. The next day we met with him and were able to teach in English which was really nice. but the next day they shot that down and said we should never speak English again, so we gave a thirty minute lesson on the restoration in Spanish. All I could do was the door approach and then sit their while my comp taught. When he finished i just bore my testimony basically saying I know little Spanish but I know what my comp said is true and that I know that the gospel is true and that Christ is our savior, that god loves you and wants you to be happy. It took pretty much all the Spanish I knew to say that but I think he understood. Anyway my comp is Elder Ben Crawford form Rexburg; he is cool. The rest of my district, which consists of the 7 other guys on the plane ride down here, are so much fun. The only Americans that come here go to Uruguay and come in every 3 weeks and leave every 9. Latinos come in every 3 weeks and leave every 3 weeks.

I love soccer it is so much fun I am getting pretty good playing with the Latinos. Side note: it is sad the temple is under construction so I can not go but we may go to Montevideo. Also I don't know if I said this already in my last letter but the missionary's that were here before us I thought were in their 20's. They acted so much older.

Love Elder Wray
