Hey Guys,
This week has been really hard. Both Elder Garcia and I have been sick which has been kind of frustrating but we are recovering and we are still struggling to find new people to teach. Our recent convert is doing well she came to church by herself. I guess with the thanks of a member we activated about a month ago that lives close who is now passing for about 6 or 7 people that live out of town on her way to church. Other good news is that the third and final sister of the Gonzalez family excepted fecha(Date) for the 7 which is really exciting. We are still missing the parents but hopefully we can change that to. I had an interesting experience on divisions with Elder Maranoski, he is a good guy and we had some good lessons but at the end of the day I was probably a little to lenient with how we spent our time . We were in his area so he was in charge and just followed him around for the most part. So I didn´t say anything but I probably should have. I talked to his comp afterward who was a little upset (my district leader) but it is alright now. We have interviews tomorrow which is exciting I don´t know why but I always liked invterviews in the mission anyway.
But yea we have both been pretty sick mainly just exsausted with a cold but they treat that like death here. I would be nice to stay home and rest but we can't here so we work the same. The members are really nice. Everyone tries to help you out when you are sick a lot of hot liquids and bread. Also some crazy remedies. One member last night made me a tea with onion skin, garlic, orange peal some other herbs and sugar. I thought it was pretty good but I could bearly smell or taste it. My comp said it was the worst thing he has ever had but he also says that about everything here. It is a common trend with the latinos here or I guess just with the ones from Central America, that I have noticed in the past few months. Uruguay can´t do anything right, the beans here are horrible they don´t know how to cook them, they dont know how to build, they cant drive ect... it gets very annoying after a while and then they always throw in if they were more like the United States maybe to get me to talk or something I dont know. I just laugh to myself because you know how it is in the United States. Anyway maybe don´t put that up it is just something that has been bugging me for a while.
Something gross that happened this week we had a leech in our shower for 2 days because we were both to tired to care also my comp on our kitchen floor shot a snot rocket on the floor then followed it by a lugi. I just looked at him with disgust. He then moved it around on the floor with his foot and said there happy. I then flipped out and told him to pick it up that is gross. After he picked it up he called me a girl so I called him a fatty and that was that for the night he got really upset about fatty. He is really sensitive about his weight but dosen´t want to lose weight or at least thats what he tells me but I dont believe him. You can´t tell we fight a lot but for some reason 5 minutes later we are all good again. I don´t know why... but it isn´t something I like so a lot of times I just tell him I don´t care enough to argue or just don´t respond to his taunts. We are improving though. I sold him some stamps so I could use some more. Anyway I have to go keep working on the addresses. Also my zone leader just told me he is thinking about changing majors to aviation and has questions. Anyway choa!

Hey Guys
This week has been much better. We have been really looking for people
to teach and have tried a lot of things but we are not having much
sucsess finding people that want to progress. We had the Baptisim of
Micaela Gonzalez the oldest daughter of the family, I had the
privialege of baptizing her. It was really good a lot of members came.
We are still working with the rest of the family the mother is showing
more promise. Everyweek the mission sends out a flier to every
companionship in the mission during District meeting with stuff from
the Aps, the numbers of the mission and baptisms as well as a story of
one of the baptisims of the week. And this coming week a story I wrote
about our baptism will be there. I really had no clue what to write
but I will send you a copy. I guess you can't read it but maybe a
translator will work. Elder Garcia is doing good still but has been
sick all week and some times lost interest in working. Not much to report
on this week, I got bit by a dog again but I was playing with it so it
wasn´t that bad. My comp has a new hobbie, scaring me. You think after
the 1000th time of him randomly screaming during comp study I wouldn´t
jump. But I tell him I just have good reflexes because he scared me
walking out of the church one day and I automaticly slapped him in the
face. Everyone thought it was pretty funny.
Hey I need a good brownie reciepe. After the baptism we were invited to dinner
and a tried to make brownies. They tasted good when I pulled them out of the oven but
when we got to the dinner like 12 hours later they were rocks like as
hard as a jolly rancher. It was so emberasing. But they ate them all.
What else happened this week. Oh I found a cockroach in the fridge.
Kind of gross but even grosser is that I didn´t throw everything away afterwords.
Anyway Thats about it don´t have much else to say except a question-
how much do you care for this trench coat of dads?
I am thinking of buying a new one and don´t really want to carry
it home, a member has expresed intrest in it. Anyway I have to go Good
luck Elizabeth!

Hey Guys!
This week has been really good and bad. It has been really good because Elder Garcia is tyring his hardest to be obedient. He gets up on time, we study and everything. We are obviously not perfect but he wants to improve. When I asked him what changed he didn't really give me an answer. I understood, its great he's excited to work. It has been bad for me because for some reason I have been really home sick this week. I really don´t know why but it has just been a hard to motivate myself. I found myself thinking of home in the morning and at night in the houses of members. I was having dreams of friends and family. This has by far been the hardest week of my mission with homesickness. Thankfully Elder Garcia has been there this past week to push me. I am praying a lot for help but it has just been hard.
Our investigators are doing good we should be having a baptism on Saturday which is exciting! The sister of our last baptism is ready. Things are going by so fast I feel like I am having trouble catching up. I feel like there is a hundred million things to be doing. It has also been really cold here, not really cold but with the humidity it is crazy. Today I have to buy a scarf and a couple others things. I have only seen it reach 8 but the problem is in the morning because the houses here don´t have heating besides a fireplace that I don´t know if we can use. We have an electric heater but it doesn't do anything when we study. I think I am going to buy a big wool poncho that the gauchos use as a souvenir and to keep me warm when I study. I have missed the cold so much and it is easier to live with then the heat but my comp is dieing. The coldest it gets in his country is 20 but usually it is 42. I have really missed the smell of leaves after they fall, it isn´t really a smell you think of but I smelled it for the first time in who knows how long it was great! Our new district is great! They just cut the zone in half so there are 10 missionaries in our district, it's a lot of fun! We usually only have like 6.
I really can't think of anything worth writing about this week. I don't have any cool sorry. I just finished reading Ben and Kaleb's letter that you sent me like three weeks ago. I didn´t have time to read them the last 2 weeks it sound like they are doing good. Tell everyone Hi! Hey, who won the Cup?

Hey Guys
We have had a bit of a rough week in the work but it ended on a high note with a baptism of Zayda. We are really seeing progress with her family. We had originally told them that one of us was going to leave most likely me tomorrow for another area and they didn´t like. But when we found out we were both staying one of the girls said god answered my prays. She will be getting baptized in two weeks with her sister which is exciting. They are really our only progressing investigators and we are trying to find more but it has been hard. Things with Elder Garcia are mas o menos, but we both know that there is something to be learned from one another but we are both proud and some times that causes arguments. It is a new change and I am excited.
A lot has happened I feel like that you don't know about. First changes are today and I am staying with Elder Garcia, a little scared but it should be alright there is a lot to be learned form him. Second we had a stake baptism Sunday after stake conference which was really good the temple President gave an awesome talk and now I want to go to the temple. Anyway 7 people were baptized one of which was Zayda. She is eleven and we have been teaching her and here family for 12 weeks. I am really excited to stay and see them get baptized hopefully we will get the parents there while I am here to which would be sweet, but they have to get married. Anyway so I thought I was leaving yesterday when I was in El Campo. I was telling everyone I was leaving and it is amazing what members will give missionaries. I didn´t ask for anything and came home with a license plate for a motorcycles an awesome book about T-bo and a mug. As well as a ton of great fotos and videos.
I don't have much time but I had a crazy experience two weeks ago while on divisions. I was with a younger missionary in his area and all our plans fell through and we were standing in a park in front of a cemetery. When he said lets go in. I really didn´t want to but was like alright it is your area. Cemetery's are really different here. It is more like a fortress with really tall walls and you put the body inside for two years then pull it out and put the bones in a box. Then it is like putting your box where ever there is room. Anyway as we made our way through the cemetery I found... Wrays
Haha just kidding! But there was only one women in the whole cemetery and she told us about how they do everything and we talked about the Plan of Salvation and then she is like do you want to see my grandpa and then opened the box and there was the bones of her Grandpa just chillin in this box, you could see the skull and all. Kind of cool! Anyway we got her address we will see what is going to happen to her, but it was cool! Anyway I have to go. Take care.

Hey Guys,
This week has been really good. We did divisions with Elder Rutledge and Caldaron which was really good. This week we also did divisions with the ward and it was really effective although all our lesson fell through and ended up doing contacts, we found some really good investigators. The family we have been working with is really coming along the kids at least. The young women have really been working hard with them and in our last lesson they said we didn´t need to find a ride for them to church and that they were going to ride their bikes into town. Sadly two of them slept in but one came and wants to get baptized this Sunday for the stake wide baptism we are having. The young women have told us that when they asked the oldest girl about baptism she says "yea I am going to get baptized". So this week should be good for them. Elder Garcia and I had a good talk during Weekly planing, Elder Garcia told me he doesn't feel like being obedient in some things that are important, but by the end although I wasn't able to change his mind, I felt better and had a little more love for him. Changes this week coming so we will see what happens, I kind of think I will go maybe to Pysandu or Mercedes.
This is what President sent me this week, I thought it was funny!
"Good to fine someone from the 24 mo. list. Let me know how that goes. Just kick Elder Garcia in the rear sometimes. He is a good teacher and has lots of love but needs obedience training!! (Don´t tell him I said that, it sounds like a dog school.) Love pH"
This letter is short because I have to take care of some stuff today. But I still want addresses for Mike and Hayden. Happy Birthday Dad on Wednesday! This week we also had a training that was really good it was my first one, it was kind of a big Cain drop but I really liked it. They talked about Moses 6: 50- 60. I think where God asks Enoc to walk with him and how we need to do what God wants in our areas not what we think and how we achieve that. Really good! Anyway I have to go. The missions great, really hard but Great! I can't believe it is almost June what happened to the last 9 months! Anyway Choa chao.
