Hey Guys
Its about time I saw pictures of the house. Things look good but it still looks like you have a lot of work to do. Haha! This week has been pretty short. The temple was really good, Spanish not so much I think the guy got a little frustrated at me but it is alright. I did it all in Spanish! It was a lot of fun to catch up with my group from the MTC although I didn't have much time. Alright so my new comp. We found out a few days early that it was a Latino because of Elder Bradshaw connection in the Offices. He is Elder Navarro from Chile. I haven´t met him yet he gets here at 930 tomorrow morning. He just finish training Elder Larson from my MTC group who is way cool so I am really excited. He knows quit a bit of English I hear but it will be a lot of Spanish. Vamos a ver. Elder Bradshaw leave tonight 1230 for deo then on Thursday leaves for Miami at 1030 pm. I still can´t tell if he is excited. He keeps telling me that you spend your whole mission telling yourself it is never going to come so when it finely does it surprises you. Anyway this change I hit my 6 month mark Que Cosa. We had the ward talent show this past Saturday which was alot of fun and we had a great turn out. But Guayun standered time is so frustrating. It started almost an hour late because almost no one was there. I'll send pics next week because Elder B is stealing my pics. This week Elder Fleming and Montes put a giant toad or frog in our shower it was hilarious, they had lunch with us then they ran home I went to the bathroom 20 minutes later and there is this frog the size of my hand sitting there in the shower. Anyway the mission is a lot of fun and frustrating at time but still good. Hope things at home are going well.  Anyway love you!

Hey Guys
This week has been really short. We have had quite a few activities
and some good noche de hogars and had service twice this week in the
morning so we studied the siesta. Watched the Joseph Smith movie for
one of the activities which was really good. Sadly only the young men
showed up. Soccer the night before it was really fun. It was funny we
pulled out a ball with only like five or six people there then in like
10 minutes we had like 20 pèople there that were not members. It was
like they came out of holes in the ground the second we had a ball.
This week is going to be super fast. Tomorrow night at 1230 I get on a
bus and head to Deo(Montevideo) for a temple session with my MTC group
because we didn´t get a chance when we got here. I get back Wednesday
night. Then Thursday I have divisions in some one elses area. Saturday
is Elder Bradshaws 2 year mark and the ward Talent Show. Then it is
change week. I will most likely stay here at least one more change. I
might get a latino but I am not sure I am just hoping he is not a
trucho. I probably had the greatest experience of my mission thus far.
We have been working with a menos Activio for about a change know. He
use to be the ward mission leader but when he was released he went
inactive. We got him to read the Book of Mormon again and he said he
started to feel like he did when he got baptized. And for the first
time he came back to chruch. He told us he was but he showed up 10
minutes late. So when he walked in to elders quorum. Everyone stop and
gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Then after the meeting more
people came up to him and hugged him. It was almost like the Prodigal
Son. I can´t describe how happy I was to see him walk through the
door. Hope fully he continues to come. Any way it is about time to go.
We are going to have RootBeer Floats. Cant wait. The rootbeer is
really creamy really good. When you send the next package when ever
that is I need some more ankle socks because the person that does our wash  lost mine.

Anyway Love,
Elder Wray

Hey
Still hot here but I think my body is getting use to it. Things are still slow the whole city of Salto seems to be struggling. Elder Bradshaw leave in like 18 days which is really weird to think I will have a new comp soon. I am excited to see what happens, I kind of hope I get a Latin but then again I am kind of nervous. We put on a ward activity this làst week we played scripture jeopardy which was pretty fun, I think they really enjoyed it. I was going to send some pictures but we went to centro for Elder Brashaw to get some souvenirs and then buy a new fridge. I did divisions for the first time this week every other time we have set them up they have fallen through. I went with a guy named Leo he was baptized about 5 months ago. Our first lesson fell through then our second then we contacted an ex investigator and set up an appointment for tomorrow before finely getting in with another recent convert. We taught follow the prophet and the law of chastity which was a little ruff. He said he didn´t remember what it was but I just put it as simple as I could. First time teaching that. This week we have two activities soccer on Friday which is going to be so much fun and then we are watching the Restoration on Saturday.  Oh interviews with President´were so short. But he is so amazing at bringing in the spirit. Half way through the opening pray it just flooded my whole body it was really cool. Anyway I have to go. Send More Pictures of the House it has been like 4 months since I left.
Anyway Que Pasen Bien.

January 9, 2011

Hey,
This one is going to be quick. The past three or so weeks have been really hard. We have struggled to find people to teach, the only person we really have going only could meet with us in 20 minutes which means Pday is an hour short. It is so hot here it was 95 in our house when we left -horrible! Also the past 3 days or so we haven´t been feeling well. Elder Bradshaw had a double Dragon one night which if you don´t know what that is just think for a second. Then the next night my stomach was not feeling well. But we are both good now. Our ward which shares 4 Elders has really been struggling, we work all day but with no success. I am slowing getting Spanish but I struggle at times. We have interviews with President on Friday which will be my first really. When I got to the mission he only could talk to us for 1 minute because I was all screwed up.
You should check out google earth. A member was showing us where a reference was and then we showed him our houses. The picture was taken recently I had already cut the grass and it shows my area really well if you look I live in the building on San Martin and Ramirez my area is south east from there. I had a cool experience. You know how we were always told to bear our testimonies and they will grow. Well I don´t think I really understood that until I got here. I obviously have the opportunity to do that a lot but during one lesson we were teaching to a menos activio I bore my testimony on how we have a loving Heavenly Father and he wants to bless us but we need to keep his commandments. I had probably one of the strongest burning feelings I have had reconfirming the things I was saying were true. It was a really testimony strengthener for me. Anyway I have to go love you all.

P.S. I met some one who bikes with Armstrong which was cool. Also who won the winter classic and Send me a picture of Polaco and The house. Also I was reading and if you havent´already you should bless the house for a famliy home evening or something. Anyway  Bye.

Hey,

Glad to hear you guys had a great Christmas break.  Sorry to hear about grandpa I will be praying for you guys. A lot has happened since I talked to you on the phone. Nothing of much importance.  Sorry I didn´t write last week we watched Kung fu panda two for pday but things got a little screwed up and I didn´t get a chance. Great movie by the way if you haven´t seen it. I haven't seen a movie in casi (almost) 4 months. We watched more fire works on New Years. They were even more amazing since we are on the fourth floor of an apartment complex the people in the street in front of us were blowing them up right in our face, pretty much it was really cool. The fiestas are a really hard time to prosolite, no body wants to listen or is not home. All the ones we had left for 2 weeks and one for 2 months to Mexico. It is just hot but I think my body is adapting to it. Today I finished the book of numbers. I don´t know if I already told you but I am working through the OT, I read for 10 to 15 minutes each day. Genesis and part of Exodus was great but the rest of Moses is really hard and boring I can´t wait to get to Joshua and Judges. I also have been reading the conference talks from the past 10 years they are so amazing. I love the words of the prophets they make me want to be so much better. Elder Flemming has a new comp Elder Monte's from Ecuador he is way cool, I love speaking Spanish with him and he is learning a little bit of English. I kind of hope I get a Latin comp in 4 weeks when Elder Bradshaw dies. I feel like Spanish will come much faster then but it also might be really hard, but that's nothing new. The mission is so hard in all ways you can think of but we are given so much help and comfort by Heavenly Father that it is a lot of fun. It is amazing the people you talk to on your mission we were stoped buy a young guy in the street that talked to us about the gospel for a couple minutes then talked about us. Apparently I am a very rich boy because I have blue eyes which I get a lot but also because the tie grandma Sue gave me had missionaries on bikes on it which means it was hard to make to this kid. And Elder Bradshaw was poor because his tie had squares on it. But he was really smart and I was dumb probably because I didn´t know Spanish. Anyway to make it simple he didn´t like me he said I was going to kill him or something. He then went and took our water bottles and dumped the water on himself before we left. Really weird experience and is really funny to think about now, but kind of scary to. Sorry it probably doesn´t make much sense I only have a couple minutes left. Anyway I have to go. Hopefully I have more investigators to tell you about next week. Love you all, tell everyone else Hi for me.
Love Elder Wray
